This work expresses an ambiguity, a physical attitude. Here is the emblem of the erotic call, a cliché. I pull it out of its context, very crudely and coldly, to affix it to the wall, which thus becomes a face.
The tongues' metallic character (cast in aluminium) expresses in my view a relationship of pleasure and violence, "those tongues that give you thrill and pleasure, and murder you like a viper's". |
